On May 19th, 2026, REP International welcomed Véronique Sarselli, President of the Metropolis of Lyon, to its site in Corbas, accompanied by Benoît Eraclas, Mayor of Corbas.

The visit focused on the site’s industrial facilities, the company’s expertise, and its recent developments in innovation and energy transition.

An industry for the performance and the innovation

The discussions were about the key challenges our sector is facing:

  • Performance of production equipment
  • Innovation in rubber processing methods
  • International competitiveness and exports
  • Integration of the environmental considerations into machinery and processes
  • Evolution of the industrial needs and technological adaptation

The visit gave a firsthand look to our guests on the design and manufacturing of industrial equipment at the Corbas site.

Spotlight on the HSR machine: toward a more circular industry

Highlight of the visit: a demonstration of our HSR machine, designed for recycling rubber production waste.

This technology is part of a concrete approach:

  • Reuse of production scrap
  • Incorporation into new rubber compounds
  • Reduction of material loss
  • Improvement of the environmental performance of the sites

This technology is a perfect example of our approach: making the circular economy a real industrial lever by integrating recycling into the very heart of production.

REP International considered to be an "industrial gem"

At the very end of the visit, the President of the Metropolis of Lyon paid tribute to the company’s role in the local industrial landscape, comparing it to an “industrial gem” and highlighting its capacity for innovation and its position in the international market.

She also emphasized that the industry remains a strategic sector for the region, combining innovation, employment, and value creation.

REP international would like to thank the President of the Metropolis of Lyon and the Mayor of Corbas, as well as their teams, for their visit and their pleasant conversations.

This initiative is part of a broader effort focused on industry, innovation, and practical solutions aimed at driving industrial and environmental transformation.
