We are looking for a Field Service Engineer for operation primarily in the United States of America and mostly on the eastern portion of the country.
The candidate will either work from his/her home or if logistically viable from the main office in the greater Knoxville area.
The successful applicant will provide a high level of technical support to external customers while working under minimal supervision. The focus will be to provide on-site installation, validation and commissioning of new Injection machinery as well as diagnosing and repairing existing machines in the field.
The position will also require the ability to train users of the REP platform, as well as the ability to provide support from a remote location.
The position will also include duties related to service coordination, customer support and cross-functional team member support.
Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site installation, validation and commissioning of REP machinery
- Perform hands-on on-site troubleshooting, service and repairs
- Provide high level technical support to external customers at their location
- Provide informal on-site training to the customers
- Interface with cross functional work teams such as Parts Department and customer service staff, management and sales
- Create and maintain service records in the company database
- Timely and professionally handle field service calls and issues arising from the field service visits, as assigned by the direct or indirect supervisor.
- Timely complete and submit all required paperwork
- Communicate with the customer to ensure satisfaction and implement any necessary corrective actions
- Misc. other duties commensurate with the capabilities of a Field Service Engineer/ Technician.
• Requirements •
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical qualifications in electrical/ mechanical engineering or physical sciences
Extensive experience on the on the REP platform can be in lieu of formal education
• Skills and Abilities •
PLC and automation experience, working knowledge of Hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems.
Working knowledge of MS Office, Excel and windows based application.
Working knowledge and ability to test and troubleshoot electrical analog and digital circuits
• Travel •
Approximately 80% minimum travel primarily within your geographic area of the United States of America, with some potential international travel available but not mandatory.
