We are proud to have a doctor on our team!
Congratulations to Rodrigo Diaz who after his doctoral internship at REP and his recent hiring as R & D Process and Application Engineer has just brilliantly defended his PhD thesis in Nantes.
Subject of the thesis is devulcanization and more precisely: Thermo-mechanical recycling of rubber: Relationship between material properties and specific mechanical energy.

TUNG YU Hydraulic Machinery Co. Ltd. was founded in 1983
They have specialised in the manufacture of hydraulic presses which are based on ongoing quality improvement and total customer satisfaction.
The company offers a diversified range of rubber presses (closing force from 5 to 10,000 tons), designed to adapt to different vulcanization technologies.
TUNG YU presses are entirely suited to the manufacture of transport equipment, electronic components, sporting goods, pharmaceutical products, industrial equipment for retreading tires and producing conveyors as well as any other product manufactured by related industries.
A mastered technology
Thanks to a constant emphasis on inventiveness and innovation, TUNG YU has developed different types of vulcanization presses with a vacuum chamber and also molding machines, which eliminate most of the hard-to-handle faults encountered in the manufacture of rubber products.
The results are extremely positive, as indicated by the very favorable feedback from customers. As a result, TUNG YU is not only the leader in Taiwan, but also a preferred supplier to major manufacturers in Europe, the USA and Japan. Moreover, TUNG YU exports on a large scale to China, Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
With ISO 9001 and CE conformity certification, TUNG YU is constantly forging ahead in the fields of research and development, manufacturing, management and after-sales service, with the basic objective being to provide the customer with the best possible quality and first-class service.

REP lauches new subsidiary in Bangalore
REP India
This entity will strengthen the REP group just been preparing the production of injection molding machines in India since 2014. This strategic development will allow Indian customers to benefit from a better local service at lower costs due to the exemption of import taxes.
At the industrial level, REP relies on an established structure that fully satisfies quality requirements.
Indeed, it is headed by Europeans and it has so far produced special machines for multinational companies such as Michelin. We will continue to manufacture the injection units (the keys to REP presses' performance) in France and some other key components as well.
A dedicated service team will ensure the relationship with customers both for investment projects and for after-sales service.
Here are some photos of the event of June 17 which was a great success

Sales Increase and Good Results
With an increase of its turnover by 10% in 2013, the overall strategy of REP international is bearing fruit. The French manufacturer has been developing two parallel ranges of injection molding machines for 10 years to meet the needs of customers both in emerging markets and high-tech markets.
As REP is about to publish the good results of 2013, the good order book situation points to an even better level of business in 2014 which looks set to be a highly eventful year: Further development of the G10 high-tech range, celebration of 10 years of partnership with Tung Yu, modernization of the production tools , these, and the Open House in June, are the key milestones for REP in 2014.
The very much expected V510 after the recent presentation of the V710 in Düsseldorf
With a closing force of 300 tons, the V510 will progressively replace the V59 of the G9 range. Machines of this size occupy a market segment being much in demand and the V510 will offer the same advantages as its sister model, the V710 (500 tons), in terms of energy efficiency and ergonomics. Visitors of the FIP show to be held in Lyons next June will have the opportunity to discover the V510 Infinitely Smart and its embedded intelligent technologies in REP's premises during their Open House.
Celebrating 10 Years of Success
Next to their G10 high-tech range of rubber injection molding machines, REP have been developing a technical and commercial partnership with Tung Yu for 10 years. The cooperation with the Taiwanese manufacturer of compression presses is twofold:
On the one hand, the development of a new range of rubber injection molding machines intended for emerging markets and combining the know-how of both partners. This range called « RT » with reference to the initials of both companies provides higher performance than the Asian manufacturers at competitive prices. After the success of the first RTIP machines, a second generation was developed which is now marketed under the name "RT9.
On the other hand, REP became Tung Yu's exclusive sales and after-sales service agent for the world, with the exclusion of Asia. Among Tung Yu's products we can include : compression presses from 5 to 10,000 tons, "Rotocure'" conveyor belts, tire vulcanizing machines and transfer presses.
They also offer a diversified range of molding machines for composites or other advanced specific materials.
Last February, a large delegation from REP international attended the celebrations of the 10th anniversary of the partnership at Tung Yu's in Taiwan. Apart from the festive and joyous celebration, this journey provided the opportunity to hold a convention and to tour numerous customers' manufacturing facilities demonstrating the extent of Tung Yu's technical skills.
Upcoming Open House and FIP show
REP will host in turn an anniversary meeting in Corbas on June 17th to celebrate their partner. An Open House to be held during the FIP show in Lyons will permit customers to visit the premises and to discover the latest developments and investments of REP. The REP group, a major actor in its traditional high-end market indeed, is investing, modernizing and renewing the production tools of its facility in Lyons-Corbas.
Acquisition of a large capacity machining center
Visitors will have the opportunity to view the new horizontal 4-axis CNC machining center manufactured by Toyoda which will be operational in September. This unit of more than 70 tons is equipped with a tool magazine which can house up to 570 cutting tools. It is designed to operate loads up to 5 tons and will allow REP to machine any part. At a time when the company expects a 20% increase in sales for 2014, this new tool should allow REP to further reduce lead times in production while machining high-quality and high-precision parts.
Stop at REP's booth (Hall 6.2 H43) on the FIP Show in Lyons 17 to 20 June !

20 years technical and marketing cooperation between REP and TUNG YU
In late November 2004, REP and TUNG YU signed a two-point agreement:
REP became the sales and after-sales service agent for the TUNG YU compression range of presses for the world, with the exclusion of Asia. Thus REP offers its customers the possibility of accepting the TUNG YU offer, at low cost, of well made products, while relying on a local REP sales network and after-sales service.
REP and TUNG YU united their respective technologies to create a new range of rubber injection presses, combining REP's technical expertise in the field of injection with TUNG YU's low-cost know-how.
The new range provides higher performance than the Asian manufacturers at competitive prices.
